Maestrazgo Geopark
The Maestrazgo Cultural Park is defined by the abundance of Mesozoic outcrops with a sedimentary origin (especially Cretaceous) along the River Guadalope Basin, as well as by its particular stratigraphical, tectonic, palaeontological and geomorphological characteristics.
It is composed of 43 municipalities in the province of Teruel. It covers an area of 2,622 km2 and stands out for having a rich and varied geoheritage. Geologically, it is located on the northeastern edge of the Aragonese Branch of the Iberian Range. Get the influences of the Ebro Basin in its northern margin and the confluence with the Coastal-Catalan chain at its western edge.
